8:30am – 4:30pm

We’re proud to be partnering with WorkSafe Victoria to bring you a 1-day workshop designed to cover all the basics of farm safety.

Targeted at farm staff, this workshop will provide an overview of safety hazards and risks that present every day on-farm, as well as tips to initiative safety discussions with other staff and management.

Well known across the ag industry for his OHS knowledge and unique presentation style, Simon Jess will be the main presenter for this session. With over 20 years of experience in workplace health and safety training, Simon’s workshops are informative, educational and engaging. Simon has strong observational skills, knowledge of safety procedures, organization and planning and presentation abilities.

Simon’s philosophy is that farm safety is everyone’s business and responsibility. With the ability to apply a realistic, common-sense approach to everyday safety challenges, Simon’s works with individuals, organisations and industry groups to improve safety management within farm businesses and the wider agricultural industry.

Simon’s qualifications include a Diploma of Agriculture,  Cert IV in Training and Assessment, Cert IV in Workplace Health and Safety and Cert IV in Occupational Health and Safety. Simon’s professional yet approachable presentation style motivates all participants to engage in farm safety and take the learnings back to their business.
